Greenfield, NY - Gary C. Priest ( G-DOG ) of Bloomfield Rd. passed away Sunday September 13, 2009. He was 48. Born on Feb. 8, 1961 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of Charles K. and Nancy Hughes Priest. Gary attended Saratoga Springs schools and loved NASCAR, motorcycles, computers, yard work and Friday night bonfires. He was a devoted member and the Commander of the Sons of America (SAL) at the American Legion Adirondack Post 70 . Gary was Recycling Business Area Leader for Quad Graphics, where he had been working since 1988. Gary is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Leola and Gerald Hughes; paternal grandparents, Harold B. Priest and Dorothy Chamberlain and his father-in-law, Richard T. Carter. In addition to his parents Charles and Nancy, survivors include his loving wife Lori Carter Priest of Greenfield; one sister, Sherry Priest-Roppa (Thomas) of Porter Corners; mother- in-law Catherine Carter, brother-in-law Jeff Carter, sister-in-law Amy Shiel (Kevin) and niece Serena Shiel all of Saratoga Springs and several aunts and uncles. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 7pm Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). Funeral services will be at 7pm at the funeral home.
