Fort Edward, NY - George W. Gurtler Jr., 59 of Fort Edward passed away Suddenly Friday, July 17, 2020. Born to George W. Gurtler Sr. and the late Maralyn Gurtler on May 10, 1961.

He is survived by Bernard (Karen) Gurtler; the late Marge (David) Pastore; John Gurtler; Kathleen (Kevin) Brower; Diane (Chris) Richardson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and his estranged wife, Jo-Anne Flinton Gurtler.

George attended Saratoga Springs High School and graduated in 1979. He had worked numerous jobs throughout his career, most recently at the Glens Falls Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. He enjoyed working with the residents of the Center.

George was a kind hearted soul. He was a huge fan of the Buffalo Bills. He loved kidding around and his laugh was always contagious. He enjoyed being with family and friends.

Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway.
