Saratoga Springs, NY – George J. Smaldone passed away on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017 at Wesley Health Care Center. He was 71.

Born on February 1, 1946 in Italy, he was predeceased by his parents, the late George J. and Minnie Bencivenga (Ban Jo) Smaldone, former residents of West Circular St. Ext. George attended the former St. Peter's Academy and also Saratoga Springs High School. He had worked at the family's former motel on Ballston Ave.

Survivors include several cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Friday, Sept. 8, 2017 at the historic Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.
