Gansevoort, NY- Geraldine B. Goodsell (Ayers), born July 11, 1943 passed away February 16, 2025. Gerry was a 1961 graduate of Clayton-Bouton High School in Voorheesville, NY. She also studied cosmetology at the Colonie School of Cosmetology from 1962-1963.

She married Harold A. Goodsell in 1969 and worked by his side in the harness race industry, until retirement in 2015.

Gerry was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star of the State of NY. She held many positions over the years as Worthy Matron, Grand Color Bearer, Grand Historian, District Deputy Grand Matron, Chairman of Necrology as well as being involved with Ameranth and Triangle. Gerry was honored for her 50 year membership in June 2024.

She loved her family, friends, the farm and horses.

Along with her husband, Harold Goodsell, Gerry is survived by her stepdaughter, Beverly Young (Tom); two granddaughters, Rebecca Ryder (Jim) and Melissa Haynes (Tom); three great-granddaughters, Lillian Ryder, Morgan Ryder and Reese Haynes.

She is predeceased by her mother, Isabel Heilmann; her stepfather, Martin Heilmann; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

There will be no services.
