Saratoga Springs - Geraldine M. Guiles of Nelson Avenue died Wednesday January 6, 2010 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 81. Born November 1, 1928 in Lake Placid, NY, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and M. Germaine LaFountain Hulbert. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Leonard Guiles and her brother Wendel Hulbert and sister Clare Calkins. Survivors include her daughter Lori DeSio and her husband Michael of Wilton; two sisters, Thelma Carter of Cohoes and Rita Rock (Frank) of Peru, NY; two brothers, Dennis Hulbert (Karen) of Plattsburgh and Jon Hulbert (Anne) of Fayetteville, NC; two grandchildren, Amy and Jeffrey DeSio of Wilton. Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 12 noon Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). The funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in the family plot in Maplewood Cemetery, Weibel Avenue.
