Mattydale, NY - Geraldine Zingaro, passed away Saturday (April 17, 2010) at Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa, NY. She was 90. Born on Dec. 10, 1919 in Syracuse, NY, she was a daughter of the late Anthony J. and Rose Hartman Ciccone and resided in Saratoga Springs for the past seven years. In 1938 she married Philip F. Zingaro, Jr., who predeceased her in 1989. Her sister Irene died when they were children. Geraldine was an employee of Barbagallos Restaurant on East Molloy Road in East Syracuse for over ten years. Previously she worked at Learburys factory in Syracuse as a seamstress, was a member of the Mattydale Senior Citizens organization and enjoyed participating in several of their outings. Survivors include her daughter Rosemary Esmond and son-in-law Donald of Saratoga Springs and son Mark Zingaro and daughter-in-law April of Wilton, NY; five granddaughters, Lori Esmond Calderon of Ellenville, NY, Judi Esmond Martin of Eddyville, NY, Cassandra Zingaro of Syracuse and Kylie and Dylanie Zingaro of Wilton and two great-grandsons, Philip and Patrick Calderon of Ellenville, NY. Services and burial will be announced at a later date and determined by the family.
