Ballston Spa, NY - Gerard M. Shambo, of Devil's Lane, passed away suddenly on Wednesday (April 7, 2010) at his residence. He was 60. Born on Nov. 7, 1949 in Schenectady, NY, he is a son of Louise (Orcutt) Shambo and the late William Shambo. He was a 1968 graduate of Linton High School in Schenectady and received a business degree from Fulton Montgomery Community College. Employed by L. & C. Municipal Sales in Johnstown as a salesman for over 20 years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman, especially at his camp at Indian Lake. He adored his children and was proud of all their accomplishments. He is predeceased by his father and brother, William Shambo, Sr. and William Shambo, Jr. In addition to his mother of Ballston Spa, survivors include his loving children, Katherine Shambo of Boston, MA, Jason (Traci) Shambo of Ft. Collins, CO and Colin (Jessica) Shambo of Ballston Spa, NY; two sisters, Mary Kennedy of Schenectady and Juliette Morrill of Ballston Spa; one brother, Thomas (Roberta) Shambo of Ballston Spa and several nieces and nephews.
