Saratoga Springs - Gertrude A. Keating formerly of Pleasant Drive passed away on Wednesday (Feb. 24, 2010) at the Wesley Health Care Center. She was 88. Mrs. Keating was born on September 18, 1921 in New York City, daughter of the late Charles E. and Florence Powell Dietz. She was the widow of the late Timothy D. Keating, Sr., who passed away in 1972. Gertrude was retired from the New York State Department of Mental Health. Survivors include her son Kenneth C. (Wendy) Keating of Clifton, VA and her daughters Constance (Charles) Quinlan of Gansevoort and Virginia (Dean) DeCapria of Charlton, a daughter in law Eileen Keating of Saratoga Springs as well as eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her son Timothy D. Keating, Jr., her daughter Barbara Keating, her brother Wilmer Dietz and sister Florence Miller and her foster son Charles S. Faust.
