Saratoga Springs, NY - Grace Elizabeth "Betty" Smith of Park Place, passed away Saturday (Oct. 5, 2013) at Saratoga Hospital. She was 89. Born on April 15, 1924 in Saratoga Springs, she is the daughter of the late Martin and Grace Schirck Van Steele and graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1942. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Thomas S. Smith, and her half-brother, George F. Perkins. Survivors include four children, Thomas (his wife Sheila) Smith, Richard Smith, Nancy Wren and William Smith; five grandchildren, Thomas Smith, Jennifer Bergerson, Christopher, Kevin and Sarah Wren; five great-grandchildren, Tristan and Zoei Smith, Jocelyn Bergerson, Ethan Wren and Brian Burchette. There will be no public calling hours. Graveside services will be at 11:30am Thursday (October 10, 2013) at the family plot in Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
