Saratoga Springs, NY - Grace Marguerite (Furst) Steger, formerly of Saratoga Springs, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2010 at the Teresian House in Albany. She was 97. She was born on June 1, 1912 in Brooklyn, daughter of the late William and Margaret (Spillane) Furst. She is the widow of George M. Steger who passed away in 1969. Grace was a Secretary for the Massapequa School District. She was a parishioner of St. William the Abbott Church in Seaford, Long Island. In her spare time she enjoyed playing cards and was an avid bowler, still bowling at the age of 92. She is survived by her children, George Michael Steger, Jr. and his fianc Connie Cash of Atlanta, GA, Lynn Gleason and husband Joseph of Saratoga Springs and Thomas and wife Janet Sue Steger of Mt. Joy, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she is predeceased by her siblings John Haughey, Agnes and Husband John Maron, William and wife Lillian Furst and Gerald and wife Jetta Furst. Funeral services will be private and conducted at the convenience of the family. Private burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Long Island. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
