Saratoga Springs, NY - Helen L. Hickey of Lakewood Dr. passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. She was 94. Born on Aug. 2, 1914 in Schenectady, NY she was the daughter of the late William and Kathryn Jennings Wink. Helen was raised and educated in Schenectady and moved to Saratoga Springs after she married her husband, the late John J. Hickey on Sept. 11, 1939. She was a homemaker and took great pride in her home. Her greatest love and devotion was her family and spending time with them. Helen enjoyed bowling and was in several leagues for many years. She was a member of St. Clement's Church. In addition to her parents, and her husband John who passed away on March 30, 1996, Helen was predeceased by her brother, William Wink and his wife Charlotte of Troy, NY and a brother-in-law, Leo R. Priest of Syracuse, NY. Survivors include her daughter, Jeanne Anne Crooks and her husband James of Saratoga Springs; her sister, Catherine Priest of Kenmore, NY and three nieces and their families. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008 at St. Clement's Church, 23l Lake Ave. by the Rev. Paul Borowski. Burial will be in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave. Memorials may be made to St. Clement's Outreach Program, c/o St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
