Mechanicville, NY- Helen L. Rose passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025.

She moved to Mechanicville at the age of 11 from Rhinebeck, NY. Helen graduated from Mechanicville High School in 1962. She was married to the love of her life, the late Ronald Rose, for 60 years.

Helen worked at the Mechanicville High School in food service for over 40 years. She loved to serve "her kids" and served many of their parents. She always made sure everyone had enough to eat and would never turn anyone away. She truly loved her work and Helen lived for her family. Anything her children or her high school grandchildren wanted or needed, she was right there. She was happiest when her kitchen was full and she was feeding family and friends; no one was a stranger in her home. She was the glue for her entire family.

Helen is predeceased by her husband, Ronald; mother Mary Hmura (DeVito) and Phillip Marks.

She is survived by 3 children- Raymond Rose (Bridget), Lynne Jornov (Gary) and Nicholas Rose (Sandy). She will be missed by her grandchildren Christopher Rose, Stephen Forchielli, Nicole McClenny, Emily Rose and Nicholas Rose; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Monday November 24, 2025 by the Rev. George Fleming at All Saints on the Hudson South Church (St. Paul's), 121 N. Main Street, Mechanicville, NY.

Burial will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made in Helen's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital ( stjude.org ) or the Clifton Park/Halfmoon Rescue Squad (CPHM EMS, Attn: Community Development, 15 Crossing Blvd. Clifton Park, NY 12065).
