October 27, 1944 – March 28, 2021
Born in October of 1944, Howard Sivertsen of Long Island, NY and Clearwater Beach, FL passed away on March 28, 2021 due to underlying health conditions.
Howard enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country in the Vietnam War. He went on to become a police officer for the Northport Police Department on Long Island and retired in 1985. He moved to Largo, FL that year.
Howard will always be remembered for his shining smile and luminous personality. He was always available and willing to help anyone that needed it, and he will be missed by the thousands of people whose lives he touched. "Howie White Shoes" AKA "Howie The Cop" is the tan man with the white shoes who is a lifelong friend of Bill W.
More than anything, Howard was a beloved father and grandfather and is survived by his two daughters Pamela and Cheryl, his four grandchildren; Madison, Lara, Robby, and Devin, his sister Janice, brother James and mother Jean.
Howard and his sage advice, depth of wisdom, and beautiful personality will be greatly missed by so many.
There will be a private viewing for family.
Burial with military honors will take place on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 2:30pm at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY.
