Gansevoort, NY - Ilse G. (Adelmann) LaTour, born January 17, 1947, in Albany, NY, passed away April 20, 2025 at the age of 78 in Ellis Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Adam A. Adelmann and the late Bertha Behnk. Ilse was the stepdaughter of the late Gertrude Wenz and she was the wife of the late Nelson B. LaTour.

Ilse graduated from Columbia High School in East Greenbush. She worked at the NY State Comptroller's Office, where she met her future husband, Nelson. They enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas, Reno, Atlantic City, Maine, and Lake Placid. She and Nelson shared many enjoyable times with many good friends at the former McGregor Pub. Ilse was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the German American Club of Albany.

Ilse is survived by her brother, Wally (Debbie) Adelmann; sister-in-law, Sheila Adelmann; niece, Debbie Allen; nephews, Jeff (Holly) Adelmann, and Chris (Meg) Adelmann. She is also survived by great nephews and a great niece. Ilse was pre-deceased by her brother, Sig Adelmann.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10:00am – 11:00am on Friday, April 25, 2025 at the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY, followed by a short service. Burial will take place at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Avenue.

Ilse's family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses on the 6th floor South Nurses Station of Ellis hospital for the care they gave her during the waning days of her life.
