Saratoga Springs, NY - Irene Jean Esposito Clute passed away Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at Saratoga Hospital after a long illness. She was 69. Born on Oct. 18, 1940 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Esposito and Josephine Palm Fox. Irene lived in Saratoga Springs her entire life and was employed for 25 years for Skidmore College Food Service. She loved reading, Facebook, Ebay and collectibles. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by a brother, Raymond W. Esposito, Sr. and a sister-in-law, Beverly Esposito. Survivors include her husband, Donald G. Clute of Saratoga Springs; her children, Deborah Elaine (Joseph) Daignault of Corinth and Donald Joseph Clute of Saratoga Springs; grandchildren, Joseph M. Daignault of Greenfield, Ryan L. Daignault of Corinth and Donald James Clute of Saratoga Springs; great-grandson, Joseph A. Daignault of Wilton; four brothers, Victor E. Esposito, Edward J. (Shirley) Esposito all of Saratoga Springs, Albert Esposito of Malta and Anthony (Mary Jane) Esposito of Ohio; two sisters, Mary E. (Foster) Wendell of Wilton and Carmela (Mel) Woolard of Virginia; sister-in-law, Vera L. Esposito of Corinth; longtime friend and (sister), Gloria Hasbrouck of Saratoga Springs and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Saratoga Hospital D1, the Intensive Care unit and especially Dr. DelGiacco for the faithful and compassionate care they provided for Irene.
