Saratoga Springs, NY – Isabell L. Ross, 91, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016.

Born on July 29, 1925 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ethel (Wood) Shaw, the middle child with four siblings. She was married for 65 years to Augustus J. Ross who passed away Feb. 12, 2009 at the age of 86. Isabell was a fierce competitor when she played games and will always be remembered as loving wine, bingo, and bowling.

She is survived by her three children, Carol A. Pulver of Sarasota, Fl. Augustus J. Ross and wife Diane of Saratoga Springs, Barbara L. Ross-Cassidy and her husband Tim also of Saratoga Springs; two sisters, Joy Tucker of Texas and Dawn Viitek of Florida; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son-in-law Kenneth C. Pulver, one brother John Shaw and one sister Jayne Kavanaugh.

The family would like to thank Sara Mattison and the Saratoga Hospice for all the care they gave their mother during her illness.

Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 6pm Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373).

A funeral home service will be held at 10am Monday, Jan 2, 2017 and burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.
