Saratoga Springs, NY - Jacqueline (Jackie) H. Wall died on September 10, 2013 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY after a brief illness. Jacqueline (Hoffman) Wall was born in Mountain View (now Wayne) NJ on Sept. 27, 1912, the daughter of the late Dudley and Jessie (Niederer) Hoffman. She lived most of her life in New Jersey, spending 65 summers at her summer home (and true spiritual home) in Stony Creek, NY. She and her husband moved to Saratoga Springs, NY in 1992 to be closer to their only daughter and granddaughter. She spent her last three years at the home of the Good Shephard of Saratoga Springs where she made many friends and was well cared for by a loving and caring staff. Jackie, as she was known by her many friends, was very involved in Girl Scouts as her daughter grew up, and volunteered many hours in NJ hospitals. She was a strong support for her husband in his professional work and in his Rotary service. Later in life she was a champion of her granddaughter's activities in 4H and various equestrian events. Jackie loved all animals, but had a special soft spot for dogs and horses and owned many during her life. She enjoyed dancing, playing duplicate bridge, practicing Tai-chi and in recent years playing poker. She was an avid reader her entire life. Her strong zest for life infected and inspired those around her and she will be remembered and loved by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, William (Will) H. Wall and her brother, Norman R. Hoffman. Jackie loved her family and is survived by her daughter, Tracy Wall and her granddaughter Jacquelyn Wall, both of Porter Corners, NY; her nieces, Diane (Wall) Miller, Patricia (Hoffman) Simonson and Stephanie (Wall) McLellan, and nephew Dr. Craig Hoffman. There will be no calling hours and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Jackie was a member of the Presbyterian New England Congregational Church. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the church, located at 24 Circular Street, Saratoga Springs.
