Mechanicville, NY - Jacqueline (Jackie) White, aged 83 of Mechanicville, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday July 29, 2021.  Jackie was born in Worcester, MA to the late Edward and Eleanor Douaire.

She was a nun in the order of St. Ann from the ages of 17 to 32, and she remained a devout Catholic until her death.

Jackie lived a life of service to her faith, serving in many capacities and ministries.  Jackie was a teacher in the Albany diocese and later worked for the Department of HUD.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia (Fran) Beninati and Dawn (Mike) Pakatar, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by 2 brothers, Fran (Carol) Douaire and Ray (Sharon) Douaire, brother-in-law Dennis Aramburu, and several nieces and nephews.  Jackie was predeceased by her loving husband Edwin White, a sister Constance, and a great-great granddaughter, Aurora.

Relatives and friends may call from 10am to 11am, Tuesday August 3, 2021 at the historic Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am by the Very Rev. Michael Cambi. Burial will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice or St Peter's Church in Saratoga in Jackie's name.
