Malta, NY - Jake Thomas Romano died tragically on August 9, 2010. He was born on March 11, 1990 in Stamford, CT. Jake graduated in Saratoga in 2007. Jake worked hard to begin his own local painting company which showcased his leadership skills, attention to detail, and that when he put his mind to something the possibilities were endless. Jake enjoyed snowboarding, skateboarding, the outdoors, and spending time with those he loved. Jakes smile was infectious. He always was the life of the party and one couldnt help wanting to be around him. With his heart of gold Jake took the world on his shoulders and touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of meeting him. He is survived by his mother Ann Marie Romano, maternal grandparents John and Carol Giglio, his paternal grandfather Albino Romano Sr., his two sisters Melissa Piorkowski and Amy Piorkowski-Orsaia, along with a long line of extended family and friends. Comfort is found only in the fact that Jake has been reunited with his father Thomas Anthony Romano who passed away on November 30, 2000, and his paternal grandmother Dorothy Romano, both of whom we know have already welcomed Jake with open arms to live with them in eternal peace. A Mothers Note I will miss your handsome face every single day. You were my best friend, my life, my son. I tell you now to rest and embrace your father and grandmother again, stay close to them, and you will always live on in all of our hearts. Relatives and friends may call from 5-8pm Friday (Aug. 13, 2010) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes (584-5373). Funeral service will be held at 9:30am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave.
