Saratoga Springs - James J. Lynch, Jr. of Saratoga Springs passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Wesley Health Care Center Nursing Home. He was 82. Born on April 4, 1927 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late James J. and Margaret (Shaw) Lynch, Jr. He is the widower of Lois (Hildenbrandt) Lynch. Mr. Lynch was a graduate of Saratoga High School, class of 1945. In April of 1946 he enlisted in the United States Army serving until October 1947. Most of his service was at Armored School in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He worked for Van Raalte Co. in Saratoga Springs and Puerto Rico for 28 years. He was the owner of Lyncraft Manufacturing in Wilton for four years and was manager of L. V. Myles Textile plant in North Carolina for 15 years. James is survived by his son; Richard (Lynn) Lynch of Watervliet, a sister; Helen (Harry) Snyder of Saratoga Springs, and two grandchildren Katherine Mary and Andrew James Lynch of Watervliet. He is also survived by the children of Lois (Hildenbrandt) Lynch. In addition to his parents and wife, James is predeceased by two sisters; Margaret Ruggles and Jeanne Staiger. Jims family would like to extend a special thank you to Lois Ernst for all the special care she gave to Jim during his illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Thursday, February 4, 2010 at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church , 231 Lake Ave. Burial with military honors will be in the Gerald B. H.
