Obituary

Saratoga Springs - Jan Aitken Park, born July 5, 1944 in Saratoga Springs, NY to the late Jane and Gardner (Bud) Ingmire, died July 21, 2021 at the farm her parents once owned, at the age of 77, with family by her side. She went peacefully.  Though never ready to see a loved one pass, we know she is by her husband, Robert's, side looking down on us as Angels.  Survived by her sons Christopher and Derek Park, she is also blessed to look down onto two amazing grandchildren Christiane and Coulson and a beautiful daughter-in-law Kimberly Park.  She will be sadly missed by her sister Barbara Balance, her brother-in-law Stewart Park as well sister-in-law Carol MacNeil, and so many others. Apologies for not listing all.  She lived for others. She was a wife, mother, caretaker, business owner, medical assistant, friend, but most of all someone who genuinely cared for others.

Her daughter-in-law Kim wrote:

Some memories of Nana

Her beautiful blue eyes and bright smile, her quick sense of humor and wit, how she often would say "P.S." as one more thought to a conversation (always loved this).

Love of Chico's and craft fairs, and cookbooks... her gardens, she loved her raised garden beds! Drinking chardonnay with my mom, Frank Sinatra playing in the house... the amazing cakes and cookies and dinners she made and being the perfect hostess to anyone who came over.  Hosting an amazing incredible Pilots reunion - welcoming everyone and sharing her love and memories of your dad. And traveling to Alaska with your dad.

Absolute love for her sons, husband, grandchildren and family and friends.  It could not be put any better.

She was laid to rest with her loving husband Robert at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.  The family will be celebrating Jan on July 21, 2022 with a memorial and get together followed by a day at the track because that is exactly how she would have done it.  All will be welcome and details to follow.

Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105) because if you could see the way her face would light up upon seeing those kids you'd understand.

Much thanks to the men and women at William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home for all their assistance at this time of need.
