Stillwater, NY - Janet Carpenter of Gronczniak Rd. passed away Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at the home of her sister. She was 51. Born on March 9, 1959 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Helen (Evans) Whitney. Janet graduated from Saratoga Springs High School. She then worked as a medical receptionist for Dr. Cetner, retiring after several years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband Jeff Carpenter; three sons, Charles Leary of Stillwater, Jeff Carpenter and Adam Carpenter of Saratoga Springs; four siblings, Rick Whitney of Wilton, Mike Whitney, Dan Whitney and Sally Doss all of Stillwater and her very special canine friend Buddy. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 6pm Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373).
