Saratoga Springs, NY - Janet L. Gallup ,73, passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at Saratoga Hospital after a short illness. Born on May 13, 1940 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Laura E. (Lee) Morgan. Janet was a loving and caring person, especially when it came to her family. She enjoyed cooking, playing the piano and painting. Camping was one of her favorite things to do as well as spending time at the ocean. She also was a true lover of any and all animals. In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by her husband Raymond E. Gallup who passed away in 2001 and her sister, Charlotte Morgan. Survivors include her children, Tammy (Renald) Gagnon and Bonnie Gallup all of Saratoga Springs, Bradley (Cindy) Gallup of Bolivia, NC and Robert (Donna) Gallup also of Saratoga Springs; eight grandchildren Bradley Goode, Ryan Goode, Renee Mendez, Chris Gallup, Madison Gallup, Ava Gallup, Molly Gagnon, Nicholas Gagnon; six great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8pm Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30am on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at 12:00 noon at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd.
