Saratoga Springs, NY- It is with great sadness to share Janet Gifford's passing Thursday, March 1, 2021.  Janet was born June 19, 1938 in Northumberland and was raised in the surrounding area.   Janet lived a full life of 82 years.

Janet was a member of the Saratoga Bridges family since 1999 living in many of our homes throughout her years most recently the home on Washington St.

She worked at Saratoga Bridges Alpha Industries during the prime of her life and then transferred to Wilton Day Program. She resembled everyone's favorite grandmother.  Janet was a kind woman who was adored by staff, children and her peers

Janet was an avid reader of mysteries, dramatic tales and romance novels. Sometimes she melded the stories into real life comparisons which she would privately tell her favorite staff.   When she was younger, she greatly enjoyed cooking and collected recipes she thought she and her peers would like to try.  Janet always remembered birthdays and excelled at creating lovely cards filled with decorations and stamps.

We will miss Janet terribly and treasure our memories of her sweet, saucy and sassy personality.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY.

Burial will be in the Gansevoort Cemetery in the Spring.
