Saratoga Springs, NY - Janice Mae Brueckner passed away Monday, March 21,2011 at Saratoga Hospital. She was 71. Born on June 17, 1939 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Ruth Gailor Ramsey. Janice attended Saratoga Springs High School. She worked for the Spa City Diner as a waitress for many years and also worked at the Jamesway department store in the Pyramid Mall until it closed. Janice loved to do many crafts and donated much of her time and services to the Give a Child a Christmas organization helping underprivileged children. She also enjoyed the company of her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother John Ramsey and her two sisters Yvonne Dowen and Shirley Loya. Survivors include one brother Edward (Luella) Ramsey of Saratoga Springs; her three children, Raymond (Diane) Burnette of Fitchburg, MA, Kim (Vince) Poole of Richmond, VA and Jason (Samantha) Brueckner of Wilton, NY. Janice is also survived by her six grandchildren, James Lowe, Kylee Burnette, Katie Burnette, Erika Anderson, Taylor Brueckner and Joseph Brueckner; and one great- grandchild, Cadence Lowe. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to10am Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). Funeral services will follow at 10am at the funeral home. Spring burial will be in the family plot at the North Milton Cemetery.
