Saratoga Springs, NY Janice L. (Sorensen) Woodley, 83, of Saratoga Springs, died on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Saratoga Hospital. Born on May 9, 1928 in Perry, NY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Arloine (Calkins) Sorensen. Janice was a graduate of Perry High School in 1946 and graduated from Roberts Beauty School in 1947. She went on to work as a beautician in a beauty shop. Janice married Paul Woodley in 1949 and they lived and raised their family in Saratoga Springs. She worked at several different jobs in Saratoga Springs including the Saratoga race track, Skidmore College, Denbys, Jamesway and the YMCA. Janice was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Paul Woodley; her three daughters and one son, Constance (Donald) Buchholz of Chesapeake VA, Rebecca (Craig) Ritter of Spring TX, JoAnn (Bruce) Shirley and Douglas Woodley and fianc Deborah Riegel of Clifton Park; six grandchildren, Robert Shirley, Jessalyn Shirley, Samantha Mendez, George Buchholz, Julianna DuRose and Sarah Riegel and five great grandchildren, Andrew, Morgan and Sarah Buchholz, Aiden DuRose and Lauren Mendez.
