Saratoga Springs, NY - Janie E. Stewart of South Franklin Street passed away Tuesday (June 22, 2010) at her residence. She was 89. Born on Nov. 4, 1920 in Missups, Georgia, she worked for many years as a registered nurse on Rikers Island and had resided in Saratoga Springs for over 30 years. Survivors include her daughter, Rene Moore of Nyack, NY; one grandson; Andr Trammell of Baltimore, MD, one cousin, Amy Maclyn of Cleveland OH, a nephew George Stewart and a niece Ruth Merritt of Georgia and Sherrill Stewart Washington of California. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 10am Friday, June 25, 2010 in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 149 Lake Ave. Funeral services will be conducted at 10am in the church by Pastor Adam Weigand.
