Saratoga Springs, NY - Jason Floyd Coombs of South Federal Street, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 12, 2011. He was 25. Born on March 6, 1986, at Bellevue Hospital in Niskayuna, he is the son of Alan and Debi (Higgins) Coombs of Saratoga Springs. Jason attended Saratoga Springs City Schools. Prior to graduation, he was diagnosed with severe Crohns Disease. Jason was a kind and gentle soul whose smile could light up a room. He had a heart of gold and a never-ending spirit of generosity. Our hearts are empty. We miss you so. May you now find the peace you have been searching for. You are loved by so many. Please, Lord, take him in Your arms. Jason was predeceased by his grandparents, Katherine Coombs, Cecil Coombs, Lawrence Higgins and Theresa Higgins Raffael; as well as his uncles, Floyd Keinath and Ricky James Higgins. In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by his sister Jennifer Coombs and brother Shawn Coombs, both of Ballston Spa; his brother Ryan Coombs of Saratoga Springs; his great uncle and aunt, Francis and Pauline Gagnon of Saratoga Springs; his niece Abigail of Malta, whom he referred to as such a sweetheart, and several cousins. Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4pm Sunday September 18, 2011, at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Monday September 19, 2011, at the Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway by the Rev. Neil Draves-Arpaia.
