Moreau, NY - Jean C. Farrell, 82, of Moreau passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Glens Falls Hospital after a brief illness. Jean was born on December 23, 1928, the daughter of E. Temple Ted White and Irene W. Williams. On February 19, 1950 she married Edward V. Farrell. They had shared 43 wonderful years together when Ed passed away on August 6, 1993. Although primarily devoted to her home life, Jean held several additional jobs in the local area. She loved designing her homemade terrariums, gardening, country music and old songs, celebrating holidays with family, showing hospitality to friends and relatives and being a devoted wife to Ed and a loving and caring mother to her two sons. In addition to her husband and parents, Jean was predeceased by her siblings, Charles N. White, Shirley M. Myott, Phyllis J. Geer, Grace E. Somich, and George W. White. She is survived by her children, Gary Farrell of Wilton, Greg Farrell and his wife Diana of Niskayuna; her sister-in-law Darleen White and brother-in-law Nicholas Somich, both of Granville; her lifelong friend Lorraine Troy of Queensbury and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services and burial will be private for the immediate family. There will be no calling hours.
