SARATOGA SPRINGS - Jean Elizabeth Flick, 92, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, December 20, 2015 while in the care of Community Hospice of Saratoga Springs.

Jean was born in Bridgeport, CT, on September 9, 1923 and was raised in Kingston, NY. She was the daughter of Earle Dewey Every and Florence Enid (Wales). Jean graduated from Kingston High School in 1942 and married Albert Charles Flick, Jr. in 1944 prior to his deployment with the US Navy. Jean and her family eventually settled down in Saugerties, NY to raise their five children. During this period Jean owned and operated a formal dress and wedding gown shop before retiring to St. Petersburg, FL, in 1983. Jean and her husband later returned to the Saratoga Springs area where she resided the past nine years at the Northern Pines Senior Apartments amongst her peers and many friends. Jean will always be remembered for putting the needs of others before hers and the kind, gentle nature she expressed.

Survivors include a son Albert; daughters, Catherine Ariel (Jon) and Christine, all of Saratoga Springs; a son, Brian (Susan) of Lexington, SC; and a daughter, Diane (John) of New Britain, CT. In addition, she is blessed with and survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In remembrance, a mass will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at 9:30am at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Kingston, NY.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wm. Burke and Sons Funeral Home, Saratoga Springs, with interment in Mt. Tremper, NY.
