Ballston Spa, NY - Jeanne Frances Dailey Whitney, 90, (formerly of Glen Cove and Huntington) passed away on November 30, 2021 with family by her side. Jeanne was pre-deceased by her parents Edward and Josephine and four brothers James, Edward, David, and Donald Dailey. She was much loved by her sister Priscilla Fruth of Glen Cove.

Jeanne was the devoted wife of Jack for 64 years. She was the beloved mother of Jack (Mary Anne), Bob (Grace), Carol (Jim) Sampson, Joanne (Bret) Kohler, and Bill (Tina) and the cherished grandmother of 12. Jeanne graduated from SUNY New Paltz and received her master's degree in teaching from Hofstra University before teaching in the Bethpage School District.

In addition, she will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Kathy and Joyce Dailey, 20+ nieces and nephews, and many cherished friends. Jeanne loved to spend time with her family at their summer house on Great East Lake in New Hampshire.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-6pm on Tuesday, December 7 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY (518-584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10am on Wednesday, December 8 at the Historic Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway, followed by an 11:30am burial at the Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 who were so helpful and comforting to the Whitney family.
