Saratoga Springs, NY - Mr. Jesse Stuart Carpenter (Carp) died unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family in Miami, Florida on Friday, April 21, 2017 at the age of 37.

Jesse was the son of the late Gary W. and Donna Martinez Carpenter and is survived by his wife Kasia Carpenter of Big Pine Key Fl; brother Ryan (Cara) Carpenter; stepmother Ret Pechar Carpenter; stepbrother Mike (Sarah) Pechar, stepsister Ter Spinner; his grandmother Dorothy Martinez; nieces and nephews Kelsey, Macie, Quinn, MJ and Carter as well as many other beloved family and friends.

Jesse was born in Saratoga Springs on June 22, 1979.  He grew up on Russell Street and spent the last five years living in Big Pine Key, FL. He graduated from Saratoga Springs High School in 1997 and later went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree in American History from Empire State College.

An avid fisherman, he loved the warm coastal climate of the Florida Keys. Jesse also had a passion for American history, antiques and collecting horse racing memorabilia.  He was known for his amazing sense of humor, quick wit, and vast knowledge on many subjects. His boisterous laugh and welcoming smile made it easy to love him. What mattered most to Jesse was his family and friends. The only thing larger than his booming voice was his huge heart. What Jesse loved most of all was fishing with his father. They are now reunited and fishing once again.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-7pm, with a funeral service at 6:30pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373). Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
