Mechanicville, NY - Joan Helene (Carpenter) Izzo joined her husband, Daniel (Trooper) Izzo in heaven on Sunday, May 10, 2020.  She was born on October 23, 1929 in Stillwater, New York, the daughter of Ernie and Beatrice (Kenney) Carpenter, and the sister of "Bud" and "Chucker" Carpenter.

Joan and Daniel "Trooper" were married on May 8, 1953 and shared a love that was one of a kind.  Joan was a loving wife and devoted mother who took pride in providing a wonderful home for her family.

Joan enjoyed traveling the country and spending summer Sundays at the Saratoga Racetrack with close friends.  Joan was known for her outstanding skills in the kitchen and was always sure to host an enjoyable family gathering.

Joan is survived by her four children, Tina Connors (Howard), Daniel "Butch" Izzo (Barb), Tari Izzo, Tami Mastropietro (Mark), as well as her 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren whom she truly cherished.

Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband, two brothers and her loving grandson, Dale Jerome Brown.

Due to the current circumstances the family will be having a private service.
