Saratoga Springs Jody Marie Federico of Van Dam Street, died Monday (Aug. 25, 2008) at Albany Medical Center. She was 50. Born on Nov. 10, 1957 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Anna S. Davidczuk Capone and Donald C. Capone. Jody worked for the Saratoga Springs Police Department as a crossing guard/matron and as a banquet manager at Lillians Restaurant for many years. She also worked for N. Fox Jewelers, Kay Jewelry and most recently at Littman Jewelers in Wilton Mall. Jody was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. In addition to her mother, Jody is predeceased by her brother, Donald G. Capone, who died in 1990. Survivors include her loving husband, Joseph D. Federico III of Saratoga Springs; her children, Jason J. Federico (friend Jessica Lenahan) of Malta, Jennifer Anne Walsh and her husband Jessie of Saratoga Springs; her father, Donald C. Capone of Saratoga Springs; her sister, Carol A. Capone of Milton; two half brothers, Zachary and David Capone of Saratoga Springs; a grandchild, Jevin Jason Walsh of Saratoga Springs; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and longtime friends, Mary Capone, AnnMarie Piccolo and Patricia Lander. In spite of the passing of Jody, the family is very pleased to announce the birth of Jevin Jason Walsh on Tuesday evening. With the arrival of her new grandson, the wake and funeral have been rescheduled to Saturday morning. Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 11am Saturday (Aug. 30, 2008) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). A funeral service will be conducted at 11am at the Burke Funeral Home. The Rev. Neil Draves-Arpaia will officiate and burial will follow in the family plot at St. Peters Cemetery, West Avenue.
