IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John Henry
Clements
November 30, 1942 – November 27, 2025
John Henry Clements was born on November 30, 1942, and passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025.
A hard work ethic was instilled in him at a young age. He graduated from Stillwater High School in 1960 and joined the Navy. After serving for 4 years, he was hired by the Port Authority Trans-Hudson Corporation (PATH) and married Patricia A. Clements. John singlehandedly climbed the ladder of success for PATH and worked for the railroad for many years, ultimately leading a team of over 700 men. He was greatly affected by the tragedy of 9/11 and returned upstate, where he was reunited with his high school sweetheart, Barbara Pettigrew. Barbara and John married after John's first wife passed away.
John was a loving, gentle man. He was a wonderful provider and hard worker who took pride in his home and professional endeavors. He liked to fish and play cards, sudoku, and puzzles. John enjoyed building his amazing model train set and spending time with family and friends, especially their grandson Curtis.
He is predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Irene (Marshall) Clements; his first wife, Patricia A. Clements; his sister, Carol (Clarence) Skipp; and daughter Lillian Wilson Clements. He is survived by his siblings Paul (Cheryl) Clements, David (Beth) Clements, Dianne Culliton, and William Clements; his children Jon ‘Soda’ James Clements, Marilyn Clements, and PattiAnne Clements; granddaughter, Piper Jack Clements-Coogan; stepson Greg Shea; step grandson, Curtis Shea, and many loving extended family members and friends. His wife, Barbara, passed away on February 15, 2026.
