Saratoga Spring, NY - John Fignar, 89, died suddenly on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Saratoga Hospital surrounded by his loving family. John had been looking forward to celebrating his 90th Birthday next month. He joins his beloved wife, Evelyn, who predeceased him on November 29, 2007, in everlasting life. John and Evelyn were married 63 years and moved from Cleveland, Ohio to Saratoga Springs in March of 2007 to live with their only child, John M. Fignar and his wife Barbara. Survivors also include his grandchildren, of whom he was extremely proud; Mark (Heather) Fignar of Mechanicville, VA, Christian (Rebecca) Fignar of Greenfield Center and Michelle Fignar of Gansevoort; three great grandchildren, Coleman & Ella Rose (LaLa) Fignar and Alyssa Dambrose, who will all greatly miss their Papa John; and his dear sister-in-law, Ruth Krekus of Strongsville, Ohio. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews still living in the Cleveland area, Cape Cod and Las Vegas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Saturday, September 6, 2008 in Our Ladys Chapel at St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Ave. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
