Mechanicville, NY - John "Jack" Farrell of North Main Street, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at his home. He was 86. Born February 5, 1926 in Mechanicville, NY, he was the son to the late William H. and Margaret Mahar Farrell. Jack was a graduate of Mechanicville High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. Jack worked for over 40 years for the Boston & Maine Railroad in Mechanicville. His greatest love was his family, especially his two grandchildren, Frankie and Danielle. In addition to his parents, Jack was predeceased by two brothers, George and William Farrell. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Catherine Daley Farrell; one daughter, Johna Rossi and his two grandchildren, Frank and Danielle Rossi, all of Mechanicville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am Friday, August 3, 2012 at All Saints-on-the-Hudson, 121 North Main St., Mechanicville. Burial with military honors will follow at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
