Malta, NY - John A. Natale passed away September 23, 2021 at his home on Saratoga Lake in Malta NY. Born in 1932 in Greenwich NY, he was the son of the late Susan (Dufrain) Natale and Daniel Natale. John attended Saratoga Springs High School and graduated in 1951. He attended Albany Business College for 1 year and then joined the US Air Force in 1952. He married his wife Marie Ballou in 1953. They met in high school.

After an honorable discharge from the service, John started work at General Foods in the finishing department and worked his way up to the sales department. At the age of 50 he was offered early retirement. He took a sales position at ACME Gravure Services in Chicago. He then worked for Southern Gravure Services in Louisville Kentucky where he and Marie had the opportunity to attend the Kentucky Derby several times until his retirement at the age of 65. John was a past Commander of the Dominick Smaldone Post #35 Italian-American War Veterans and NYS Commander of the Italian-American War Veterans.

John enjoyed living on Saratoga Lake for the past 30 years and enjoyed his retirement years there. He also enjoyed being a member of the Malta Seniors and Saratoga Spring Seniors and going on many of their special trips and attending their lunches and dinners. He also enjoyed remodeling his first home and built two more homes with the help of his many good close friends. John was called Pop by all the grandkids and those close to him. He enjoyed making memories with Darien, Baileigh, Jaylynn, James and Andrew.

John is survived by his wife Marie. They were married for 68 years. He is also survived by his three children: Joanne Bosley (Steve Bosley), Frank Natale (Michele Natale) and Daniel Natale (Gail Natale); six grandchildren: Jeanette, Julie, John Joseph, Shelby, Sara and Daniel; 2 step-grandchildren: Vincent, Adam; 10 great-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren.

Burial with military honors will be at 1:30PM on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville. The procession will start at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs NY 12866 at 12:45PM.

A reception will be held at the Holiday Inn, 232 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 immediately following the services.
