Saratoga Springs, NY- John T. O'Connor Sr., 71, of Saratoga Springs passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2021 at Albany Medical Center.

John was born in Waterbury, CT on June 27, 1950 the son of John and Bernadette (Poplis) O'Connor.  The family relocated to Leonia, NJ shortly after and John graduated from Leonia H.S. in 1968. John moved to Syracuse to work for Goodyear Tire and 5 years later started with Exide Technologies. In 2002 John relocated to Saratoga Springs and started OCtech Corporation, where he remained until his passing.

John always loved the community of Saratoga Springs. He enjoyed spending time at the race track, preferably on the back stretch, enjoying the racing without the crowds. John also volunteered at the Saratoga Auto Museum where he enjoyed driving classic cars for the auction.

A loving and dedicated father and grandfather, John is survived by his mother Bernadette, his son John and his wife Dixa of Galway and their son Luca, and his partner Jo Marie Voce.

John was predeceased by his father John O'Connor.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 4-7 PM on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave.
