Whitehall, NY - John Parisi, of Parisi Way, passed away Saturday (May 8, 2010) at his residence, as he had wished. He was 90. Born on Aug. 2, 1919 in Astoria, NY, he was a son of the late Frank and Rachel (Glorioso) Parisi. A US Army veteran of World War Two, he served as a rifleman in the European Theatre of Operations. A lifetime resident of Saratoga Springs, he worked for 48 years as a wholesale produce buyer for the Palmetto Fruit Company, traveling daily to the markets in Albany from Saratoga Springs and later from Dresdan Station, where he resided the final 42 years of his life. He is survived by a son, Charles (Jane) Parisi and a daughter, Rachel (Joseph) Radovich, both of Saratoga Springs; two sisters, Rachel Skoviera and Mary (Jack) Farrell; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Eleanor (Rumpf) Parisi, two sons, Frank and John Parisi and eight brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be private and conducted at the convenience of his family. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
