Saratoga Springs, NY - Jonathon J. Pennell passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2015 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 68. Born on Feb. 13, 1946 in Saratoga Springs, he was the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Fisher) Pennell. Jon was a graduate of Saratoga Springs High School and Albany Business College. As a youth Jon worked at the family restaurant, Pennell's. Later he ran Pennell's Hardware in Saratoga Springs and for several years he was a sales representative for a heating stove manufacturer. He enjoyed working on his house and garage and loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Carolyn; three children, Maria Lutz of Greenwich, Michelle (Mike) Nesbitt of Gansevoort, Mark (Katie) Pennell of Saratoga Springs; grandchildren Seth Lutz, Justin Nesbitt and Anthony Pennell; sister Pamela (Ron) Diel of Malta, Anthony "TR" (Cindy) Pennell of Saratoga Springs and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jon's children would like to invite relatives and friends to celebrate his life from 4 to 8pm Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 at the Hall of Springs, Avenue of the Pines, Saratoga Springs. Burial will take place in the spring at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave., at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J.
