Saratoga Springs, NY - Joseph E. Brooks, 71, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away Saturday (Dec. 5, 2009). Born on Feb. 4, 1938 in Saratoga Springs, he attended Saratoga Springs High School and was a 40 year resident of Las Vegas. A veteran of the US Air Force, he was stationed at Niagara AFB, NY and was a recruiter at Westover AFB in Mass. He later worked at Cushman Chuck Company and Royal Typewriter Co. in Hartford, CN. In Las Vegas, he worked at the Riviera Hotel and as a supervisor of custodial services at the Clark County Family Court for 20 years. Survivors include his brothers and sister, Robert Brooks and Agnes Brackett, both of Saratoga Springs and David Brooks of SC; nieces, Patti-Jo Fisher of Gansevoort and Phebe Brooks of Schuylerville, Sally Pagan, Debbie Husky, Darlene Knowles, Terry Chouinard, Bobbi Wood, Denise Derush and Shalene Withrow, all of Saratoga Springs; nephews, Robert Brackett, Jason Brooks, David Brooks, Jr., all of Glens Falls and Don Wilson, Jr. of Las Vegas and great-niece, Autum Breze Fisher. Services will be conducted at 6pm Thursday (April 8, 2010) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). The Rev'd. Canon Thomas T.
