Obituary

Saratoga Springs- Joseph L. Moore, 84, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Warren Rehabilitation Center in Queensbury, NY.

He was born on February 2, 1939 in Baltimore, MD to Joseph and Lenora Moore. He was married to Sherryl J. Moore. He worked his way up to Head Chef at Skidmore College, retiring after 47 years.

As a member of the Fredrick Allen Lodge #609 (Improved Benevolent Protection Order of the Elks of the World). He was the long standing Exalter Ruler. He was very active in the community of Saratoga Springs. He would cook every year for the Jazz Barbecue.

Know to his family as Papa. But Jo-Jo to the community. He loved to cook, and enjoyed watching ball games, particularly the NY Mets and Knicks. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who was always there with a helping hand.

He is survived by his children Darreyl (Julie) Bullard and Sherryl Hamilton; many grandchildren and great-grandchild; 3 loving sisters and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his companion Sherryl J. Moore and eldest son Milton Tyrone Bullard.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday May 6th, 2023 from 1pm to 4pm at the Fredrick Allen Lodge #609, 69 Beckman Street; Saratoga Springs NY. 12866.
