Ballston Spa, NY - Joy M. (Carroll) Conners of Florence Drive, passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon (Jan. 6, 2019). She was 78.

Born on Sept. 15, 1940 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Leo J. and Dorothy M. (Phillips) Carroll and a 1958 graduate of the former St. Peter's Academy. A partner with the former Carroll Auto Sales, she later worked in retail sales for several years. Currently employed at G. Willikers on Broadway, Joy was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Greenfield Center.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, John C. (Jack) Conners; four children, Michael J. (Robin) Conners of Beverly, MA, Stephen J. (Mary Margaret) Conners of Vischer Ferry, Colleen (Joseph) Farina of Colonie and Timothy J. Conners of Saratoga Springs; one brother, Leo (Jim) Carroll and his wife Alice of Saratoga Springs; five grandchildren, Andrew and Erin Farina, Sloan, Seth and Jack Conners; three sisters-in-law, Jane Conners, Doris Gillum and Kathryn McAllister and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Tuesday (Jan. 8) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (518-584-5373).

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday in St. Joseph's Church, 3159 Route 9N, Greenfield Center, by the Rev. Simon Udemgba, PhD., assisted by Deacon John Barone. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.
