Saratoga Springs, NY – Judith Salisbury, 78, passed away at home on September 26, 2021. Born on June 28, 1943, Judith was the daughter of the late Loretta and Martin Welch. When she was 6 years old, her mother passed away and Judith's family moved to Albany. After graduating from Albany High School, Judith met and married Michael. They moved to Saratoga to raise their family.

Judith worked for Governor Rockefeller's steno pool as a secretary before taking a break to raise her 4 children. When she decided to go back to work, Judith took a job with the Saratoga Springs School District. She worked there up until her retirement in 2006. She loved to garden and cook, but her favorite thing was to be around family.

Along with her parents, Judith is predeceased by her brothers Martin and Richard Welch. She is survived by her husband Michael Salisbury; children Barbara Irish (Michael), Teresa Quinn (John), Michael Salisbury, Jr., and Joseph Salisbury; 6 grandchildren Michael and Colleen Irish, Molly Kate Nazzaro (John), Elizabeth Gregory (Austin), Anna Quinn, and Isabella Salisbury; 2 great grandchildren Ashlyn and Cameron Nazzaro; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 4pm to 6pm on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the William J. Burke & Sons/ Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.  A funeral home service will take place at 10am on Monday, October 4 followed by burial will at St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.

Judith's family would like to thank the staff at the Community Hospice of Saratoga.
