Saratoga Springs, NY Julia Theresa Stasko of Saratoga Springs, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the Wesley Health Care Center. She was 93. She was born on October 24, 1917 in Cohoes, NY, daughter of the late Leon and Katherine Kopyc. Julia was the last surviving sibling of six children. She is the wife of 68 years to John Stasko. Julia was employed as a salesperson and secretary for various companies in the Troy, NY area. She loved ice skating, cooking, listening to classical music and going to the ballet, she played piano, enjoyed fishing, reading, swimming, dancing the polka and being with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving children, John F. and wife Mary Stasko, Sandra and husband James Romansky and Nancy and husband Richard Batto. She is the adored grandmother of Allison, Beth and husband Chris, Erica and husband Jay, Richard and wife Melissa, Alexandra and Katherine. She is the cherished great grandmother of Victoria Rose and loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 8pm Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing and Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am on Thursday in St. Clements Church, 231 Lake Avenue.
