Saratoga Springs, NY - Karen Jean Kuehn died Thursday, November 25 th , 2021, at her home in Saratoga Springs.
Born on September 28, 1941, in Schuylerville, New York, she was the daughter of the late M. Sheldon and Thelma Riley Peets.
Karen owned, operated, and taught at the dance studio Footlights until her retirement. Although she was born in Schuylerville, she moved to Saratoga Springs as an infant with her family. Karen loved Saratoga and was so proud of its history. She was a devout Catholic and loved attending the Church of St. Peter. She was bold, unique, and she loved passionately.
In addition to her parents, Karen is predeceased by her three sisters, Helen Peets Petro, Barbara Peets Corp, and Veronica Peets Spillane.
Survivors include her husband, Geo Kuehn; one son, Gary Kuehn; two grandchildren, Hunter and Harrison Kuehn, as well as her nephew, Donald Corp.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (518-584-5373).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the historic Church of St. Peter, 241 Broadway by the Rev. Thomas H. Chevalier, pastor.
Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Peter's Cemetery, West Ave.
