Saratoga Springs, NY - Kathleen J. Lauricella, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 with her family by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved life to its fullest. Born on May 20, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sue (Zizza) Aloisio. Kathleen had a great sense of humor and was generous to everyone. An outstanding hair dresser for over 50 years, she owned and operated An Elegant Encounter for 10 years and also worked at the Hair Connection for over 15 years. Kathleen was a member of the Soroptimist, did volunteer work for the Ladies of Charity and was very active in the community. She was a choir member at St. Clement's many years ago and helped with holiday shows in the church. She loved singing, dancing, cooking and helping others and loved vacationing in the sun and surf. Survivors include her loving husband of 55 years, Benjamin; her son Dan and daughter Daneen and her four grandchildren, Natasha, Daniel, Jayna and Kristen. She was dearly loved and will be missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs. Burial will be at 10am Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville. Donations may be made in Kathleen's memory to the Alzheimer's Northeastern New York Capital Dist.
