Saratoga Springs - Kathryn A. Stewart, formerly of Saratoga Springs, passed away Saturday (June 13, 2009). She was 82. Born on August 19, 1926 in Glens Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Harold and Ada (Phelps) Pratt. Kathryn graduated from South Glens Falls High School in 1941 and then attended Fordham University School of Nursing in New York City. She married David Andrew Stewart on April 6, 1946 and they built their home and resided at 176 Clinton St. in Saratoga Springs. Kathryn was office manager for Dr. Jack Fenyman and retired from the offices of Drs. Hunt, Meinhardt, Phillips, O'Connell and Klepetar. She was an active member and past president of the Saratoga Chapter of New York State Certified Medical Assistants and a member of the Bethesda Episcopal Church. In addition to her parents, Kathryn is predeceased by her husband David; one son, David L. Stewart; one granddaughter, Colleen Marie Willis and three brothers, Fred, James and Gilbert Pratt. Survivors include her three daughters, Nancy L. (George) Dambach of Whippany, NJ, Susan E. (Harold) Moffitt of Warrensburg, NY and Kathleen M. (William) Willis of Rexford, NY; her son, Harold T. Stewart of East Parsonfield, ME; her step-mother Amelia (Amy) Pratt of Wilton; three brothers, Lawrence, Harry and Bruce (Chris) Pratt; two sisters, Carol (Bill) Lynskey and Helen (Eric) Jepsen; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call after 11am Saturday (June 27, 2009) at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway (584-5373), followed by funeral services at 12noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in the family plot at Greenridge Cemetery, Lincoln Ave. Donations may be made in Kathryn's memory to Seton Health-Schuyler Ridge, Clifton Hills, One Abele Blvd., Clifton Park, NY 12065.
