Gansvoort, NY Kelly J. OConnell VanAlstine passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 at her home. She was 49. Born on December 20, 1961 in Saratoga Springs, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Helen Agosta OConnell. Kelly graduated from Saratoga Springs High School, specializing in cosmetology. She worked at J.C. Pennys as a hair stylist. Kelly was a loving wife, mother and sister. She was an active church member of the Wilton Baptist Church, teaching in their Sunday and nursery schools, also a member of the Womens Bible study. She is survived by her husband Ronald VanAlstine, Jr., whom she married on November 1, 1999; one daughter, Colleen Chambers and her husband Kevin of San Diego, CA; two sons, Scott and Daniel VanAlstine; one grandson, Noah Chambers; step-son, Robert VanAlstine, Latham NY; two sisters, Sharon McDermott and her husband Joseph of Lynwood, NJ and Kathryn Palmer and her husband Jeffrey of Schoharie; stepmother, Maud OConnell; step-sisters, Sandy Hannam and Eileen Cunningham; step-brothers, William and Thomas Hannam; father and mother-in-law, Ronald and Katherine VanAlstine, Sr. of Mayfield; sister-in-laws, Connie Larkin and her husband Joe of Latham, Penny Giddings and her husband Albert of Houston, TX, six nieces and nephews and many good friends. Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Wilton Baptist Church, 755 Saratoga Road, Wilton. Burial will follow at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Scott and Daniel VanAlstine, c/o HSBC, 3025 Rt. 50, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
